    Control Panel Removal

I looked on the net for some of these answers but I guess my problem is rare with the whole HP thing, lol........either that or I'm mentally challenged..........So I eventually just turned to my ZP cronies, lol

I was going through my Add or Remove Programs and came across this...........Is it safe to remove these drivers since they are listed as "inactive?" What implications are involved and how can I be sure? Thanks

On an related note, is it possible for me to see the file paths of the executables in the Control Panel itself? Or do I need an enhancement of some sort? Can you name some? thanks again

    -Peace

It can't hurt to try and remove it. If worst comes to worst, then you'll just have to reinstall the drivers.

best way to uninstall drivers is thru you're device manager. r. click my computer - properties - pick the one to remove and click remove (or delete depending on os).

    Errrr !

This is in the "officially installed " program list, and was installed with the setup from a CD or download. These drivers were not installed with hardware detection.

Yes, uninstall them if you no longer use the printer, or just leave them, its no biggy.

Never mind guys..........I read up on it and it doesn't affect my installed printers and/or scanners

They are the preloaded drivers that come with XP for HP printers and scanners.....without them you need the installation disk that came with the printer or scanner.

Removing them will reclaim 155 MB of space, but I'll just leave it alone..........

if i were you, i'd just leave them. unless im mistaken, you don't appear to have any problems WITH them installed, so why take the chance of fixing somthing thats not broken?
