    Unhappy Kazaa Help Needed NOW!

    Hi all,
    I've been using Kazaa Media Desktop 2.1 for months now, and up until a few days ago it's been working fine.

    Now, whenever I try to open KMD this msg pops up:

    "You have uninstalled a part of Kazaa Media Desktop that is needed to run. Kazaa Media Desktop will now quit so you can reinstall it. Error: 1030"

    WHAT DO I NEED TO REINSTALL?
    I've tried Diet Kazaa, thinking it might work - no avail. I've uninstalled (properly) and reinstalled Kazaa twice, and still the msg pops up. And I've also tried that 'Modifying, Repair, Remove.' thing that comes with Kazaa and NOTHING works. I have know idea why this is happening, since Kazaa has been good to my computer for months until now.

    I cannot NOT have Kazaa, as in my opinion it's the best and easiest for me to use. I've tried Morpheus, Grokster, Imesh, Emule, Edonkey and Limewire... none of them satisfy me. If anyone knows a solution to my annoying problem please reply, and also if there are any really GOOD file sharing programs that are worth downloading.:hole

    Kazaa is crap....

    First...move all your shared files (including .dat files) to another folder or movie My Share Folder to the desktop...

    Next...uninstall Kazaa...

    Next Download Spyboy and run it...scan your system..fix problems.

    next....install Kazaa LITE

    After that move "MySharedFolder" to either C:\MySharedFolder and replace the one thats already there or put it where ever you want and direct kazaa to download/share from it.

    Get Kazaa Lite here - http://doa2.host.sk/
    Get Spybot here - http://security.kolla.de/index.php?l...&page=download

    That should fix you up and without KMD's bloody spyware....

    Isn't there a faq where the n00bs can read this stuff?
    I thought someone made a thred once, with all tips and tricks to kazaa (lite). Where did it go?

    I cannot NOT have Kazaa, as in my opinion it's the best and easiest for me to use.

    Shit, get rid of KMD asap!!! no good.
    If you want to use Kazaa, than use kazaa lite.
    You probably got that message because I'll take a wild guess that you were trying to remove some spyware, and you got rid of cydoor.
    Without that KMD will refuse to run.
    Kaaza lite has no spyware, and it works so much better.
    KMD is for suckers. Don't use it.

    i would guess 97% of kazaa users use regular kmd not saying its a good thing but juts a fact and of the other 3% half probably use one of the kazaa gold scams

    Actually prob. about 8% use Kazaalite then 3% bought some gold crap and the rest use KMD. I say this because the default usernames I see are about 8% of the time www.k-lite.tk_Kazaa_Lite or some derivitive.

    He means "Spybot Search and Destroy". I believe you can pick it up at download.com.
