I just d/led a DivX 3 Low-Motion video file (according to G-Spot). It has strange green and pink blotches that frequently show up while the video is playing. I'm wondering if this is a common feature of videos of similar encoding. I use the latest version of K-Lite Codec Pack. Media Player Classic and the latest Zoom Player RC show the video with minor color distortion. WMP 7.1 shows nothing but a completely green screen with a squiggly pink line through the middle, but sound still plays.

Are you using a Direct Show Filter?
Do you have an entry for it in your start menu?
If not, try the FFDShow Alpha filter from sourceforge.
ffdshow-20030103.exe
I reckon I have it, but I went ahead and reinstalled the latest version of FFDSHOW and checked DIVX 3. The video is still distorted though.

Try throwing it in virtualdub and see if it
A: has to reconstruct the video index
B:plays correctly
C: the frame rate is in sync with the video because that will tell you if the video has problems.
