Windows Movie Maker 2.0

Hey everybody, I've run into a small problem which seems to piss me off very badly.
I downloaded the newest version of windows movie maker 2.0 and I started making Anime Music videos with it. It worked great for a while but now I have a serious problem.
The program laggs like crazy at times (which is unbeliveable on my machine) and i cannot use it fully.
When I finish my video, I go to Tools and Title and Credits, once I'm there I pick add Title at beginning of movie, and when I click on that and add a couple letters, as soon as they appear on the left (in the little movie player) as a preview, it automatically CLOSES by itself EACH AND EVERY single time I do it. Whichever credits I choose it closes automatically on me and I can't add any EVERY TIME!!!
When I am editing my videos and adding new clips and sometimes EVEN saving, the movie maker just freezes or automatically closes just like with the credits. It's like I can't DO ANYTHING on it and it's pissing me off.
I asked my friend and it works for him normally, no freezes, no nothing! This happened couple days ago and it keeps happening. Everything works fine for my friend, he can make his credits etc. but I can't make anything! I really want to work on the videos but I cant.
Anybody know what the problem could be? Is there any possibility of me going back to an older version? If so, does anybody know where I can find an installer?

I tried reinstaling it like 50 times but I guess that won't help.. I have no clue how I can UNINSTALL IT so I can do a clean install.. I went to Add/Remove and Windows Components but It's not there.. it just wont work!! I trie Ulead Video Studio and Adobe premiere but I have no clue how to work Video studio and Premiere won't open my files... it comes out with some error.. so I'm stuck with windows movie maker and i like it because it's simple.. unless someone can suggest another program besides the ones mentioned that is easy to use?

I have windows xp pro, 512MB ram, and wmp 9....
