Calling all ZP gamers

Ok, I've been thinking about this for a while, I'm sure a lot of you ZP users have pretty tweaked out systems, and plenty of legally bought games, right? :)

Well, lets put them to good use, and have a LAN party, only do a multiplayer over the internet

My broadband might not be able to work as a server (768/128k cable), but I know a lot of you have pretty nice connections, and could run a game server for a few quick frags

I'm open to suggestions, but some my friends and I use at LAN partys are:

-Quake 3 Arena
-Unreal Tournament
-Unreal Tournament 2003 demo
-Return to Castle Wolfenstein
-Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2
-Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast
-Original Doom (for the old times sake, and now there is the online multiplayer mod)
-Urban Terror (A complete changeover realism mod for Quake 3, similar to CS, but no terrorists or money or bombs or other weak stuff, just pure fragging fun)
-Counter Strike
-Impossible Creatures
-Battle Field 1942

I think if we had a few games maybe once a week, it could be a lot of fun, use the IRC room to arrange tournaments, get a password protected game server, and leave it open to any ZP members

battlefield 1942 is my favorite, i also play ut2003 alot.

Either Counterstrike or Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2.
None of you guys have a chance against me though in NFS.

All of them would be fun though and I would play any of them.:shy

Well, I haven't installed BF1942 yet, but I'll see how I like that

UT2003, I'll be buying that soon, my friends and I are going to pitch in together and buy it, then get a key gen for lan partys :)

hmm... im a big gamer, and here's what i'd like to see played:
RtCW
Q3 ( is it possible to have a cracked server for this?)
ut2k3 (cracked)
gta3: multi theft auto (when .3 comes out)
NFSHP2

note that if we do decide to do this, it should be purely for fun. i dont know about any of you, but i have been in a clan before, and i hated it. had it not been such a great game (RtCW) i would have lost all interest in the game due to the clan. i didn't hate it because i was no good, i am a great player, its just that playing a game for competition takes all the fun out of it for me.

I've played most games, and I would love to play online as long as the servers are.... ahem... "fixed." anyway, UT2K3 sounds like a decent idea as long as we can all find the right patches. There is a fixed server for that game. Multitheft auto is too buggy and only supports 2 players. IMO, racing games wouldn't have enough time for chatting etc... Quake 3 is getting pretty old, I would recomend UT2K3 instead.

We would need a modern combat game, and Counterstrike is certainly a classic. (Is there a patched server for that????) Other alternatives are RTCW, Urban terror, which I haven't played in a while but think counterstrike is better than, and battlefield 1942. The origonal Doom would be interesting, but we would need a server to distro it. I might be able to supply a pub or two.

I wouldn't participate in BF1942 because my videocard does not like to cooperate with it, but everyone certainly loves it. What about No One Lives Forever 2? I haven't gotten around to installing it, but it looks cool... Jedi Outcast is good too, and we don't even need a cracked server for that! There is a multiplayer patch...

Impossible Creatures *sucks* IMO, Neverwinter nights is too slow, Dungeon Siege might be an easier game for newbs to get into.

What about Medal of honor allied assault, warcraft III, and age of mythology/AOE2???? I also love C&C Generals.

Raven Shield is fun, but takes too long to get into for newbs. (Like me...) There is hacked multiplayer however.

We would need to release an official games listing approx. 1 week in advance so we can secure servers and so everyone can get games they don't have.

Maybe we could have some sort of Flash lan party... lol

Best Idea... i have heard of a lan party...LOL.... anyways I also play counter strike, megaman, rage... Im the Nitto Racing Challenge Champion... :fire
