Dailup Networking?
I would like to create a network between my laptop and pc. The problem is I don't have a clue what to buy or look for. I mainly want to access my files on the pc and access the internet from my laptop. What I am finding when looking at networking equipment is that they are made for dsl or cable connections, I have dailup which majorly sucks but I really don't have a choice in the matter. What is the easiest way to go about this? What brands are good? how do I hook it up? If you could send me to some websites I would appreciate that too.
Space between computers in different rooms about 26 feet
desktop pc
ME
USB ports
Dailup 28.8 AT&T provider
don't know if it is ethernet enabled
laptop
XP
USB ports
Ethernet
no internet connection yet
let me know if you need to know anything else. thanks
