I usually use Easy CD Creator to rip my audio tracks, but I want to find something else that will do the job. Can anyone give me advice about an audio ripper that is really good that will rip in 320 bitrate? Thanks.
I use CDex, which I know a lot of people here do. If you want to rip in Uberstandard you'll need EAC, go to www.chrismyden.com for a tutorial or www.peerweb.org for listings of loads of Uberstandard music.
MUSICMATCH Jukebox is an excellent CD Ripper. To configure to rip to a desired bitrate and folder simply open it up once you've downloaded it, go to OPTIONS and then SETTINGS, flip over to the recorder tab, from there you can play with the settings as much as you want. With a regular version it caps the speed of ripping at around 4 kpbs, but with a "paid" version it goes as fast as your CD-ROM can handle.
I use CDex.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.

MUSIC MATCH I S NOT a good ripper. i dont know how much more this needs to be discussed. There are 2 good rippers: EAC and CDex. So , Koffee Bean, do what nasrules suggests -- go to www.chrismyden.com and read. Follow the instructions there and you'll get the best mp3z possible (or wavs).

Koffee Bean is right, MusicMatch smacks EAC around like a red headed step child in speed, ease or use, and quality control. I ripped tons of CDs at 25x+ at lossless VBR compression.
People on my "cool list" in no particular order.
Krell, Phalkon30, Ken17625, Triniti, Kyle06, Potato429, wessman, Winphuk, Woflie, MoonMan, All the mods, CCSDUDE, Lamourlady, Nasrules, Alannah777, vipp, foreverboard, NDGAARONDI, metale, isus, Endersgame21, Reg0232, notbob, Janett999, and uhh you!
argue over quality control with CHRIS MYDEN and we'll see who wins.Originally posted by Theinfamousone

an eagle in your mind
It's a known fact that EAC is the best so use that.
I'd recommend cdex, but I know a lot of people are happy with EAC, I just have no reason to switch personally
MMJ IMO sucks, but then again, some people like Windows ME! (yeah sick world out there, lol)
MMJ is sorta bloated, dumbed down, not free.....need any more reasons? Cdex is completely free, easy to use, utilizes the best mp3 compression codec available (LAME latest version), or whatever codec you want, its also simple to use if you know how

.. and in terms of quality, the most important thing -- EAC and CDex are THE BEST.

I use CDex for Mp3's and Exact Audio Copy for Wav's they are both fast and will give you good quality rips...
CDex hands down
Of course if I want a perfect digital copy I use win iso and distribute the iso images. Not that I distribute music. :wings
don't know crap about how to download mp3z. Do any of you know where to go and get free mp3z
i have a question is putting a "z:" at the end of a word rather than "s" shorthand for being retarded?
i've wondered about that for a long time
