    ID3 auto-editor

im looking for a program that will change the id3 tags of mp3 files with minimal interaction from me. i.e., i want somthing that will go thru my mp3s and change their id3 tags to the what they are supposed to be. i know moodlogic does this, but it costs $30 for the full version, and the demo version only does it to 100 mp3s, which ive already used up. other than moodlogic, ive used Beoplayer, which is nice, but it doesnt seem to be able to do what i want. any suggestions?

    Try http://www.medic.dk/

TechTV recommended it a while ago, I liked it, and I think its what you're looking for

You could also head over to http://mrtech.com/mrsystray/ and get MR Systray, it has a mp3 toolkit built in, I don't think it does cddb, but it should work like you want it to

thank you very much phalk. this is exactly what i wanted. the only problem i have with it is trying to convert a folder full of assorted music. i have 3 folders ( a cd's worth each) of assorted mp3s that basically have no relation to eachother. i think ill have to convert each of those files individually. but thats no big deal.

    anyways, thank you again phalk

    Maybe

Tidymp3 v1.1 is a prog that will clean your mp3s in a batch so it can basically clean all your mp3s at once or just a group, but you do have to label your mp3s yourself after, keep in mind it's not a labeler, this is to rid mp3s of bogus tags. I use it 'cuz I am very anal about how I like my mp3s labeled

This is incidental, but when you migrate to XP, you can do it in the individual MP3 properties Advanced dialog box.

Just double click in the field and type.

Try TagScanner. It lets you work on multiple files at once. Awesome little utility if your too lazy, or your time's too precious to work on one file at a time.
