    hard drive space disappeared

    Help me out here.

I had Win XP on my machine (40gig HD). I installed Suse on it (Dual Boot). Suse partitioned my HD. I did not like suse and wanna to reformat and instal XP back.

While booting my comp from CD, XP saw some partitions that it could not recognize (must have been suse partions). I gave me the option to erase the partion and re-partition.

I did that but now i see only 32 gig on the drive,

8 gig disappered. (i thin 8 gig was the space used by Suse partitions).

How can I get it back.
Any software i can use ot get it back.

    Please help.

Get Partition Magic....Then once you get it, Open it up, right click on the drive, select resize, fully extend it. click ok.. then find apply, then click that.

    W A I T

until you get in to XP.

Once you have XP installed, right click on My Computer, and chose > Manage. Then Disk management.

The look at your disks again, and see if yu see unused space before you run straight to a 3rd party utility.

I am not saying it WILL see it, I am just saying, learn to use what you already have at your disposal first.
