I just downloaded Phoenix 0.5 (Naples) today and all I have to say is "WOW!!!!" It is the most amazing web browser I have ever used, it's just sooooo cool. I can change everything about it, from appearence, to extensions to anything! My one problem with it is that it has a built in Google search in it's interface, my problem is that I have no idea how to clear the Google Searches in it, I have looked all over the Preferences, and tried finding an extenstion that lets me, but I haven't found anything, does anyone know how to clear the google searches from within Phoenix? I have enclosed a picture so you can understand me a little better.
my guess would be to just do a search on your system for one of the entries and if that don't work, then do a search in your registry, and if that don't work, then I don't know, but common sense tells me that those entry values have to be saved somewhere, but they could also be saved to some sort of "all-in-one" file type that is unrecognized, but that is very rarely the case, but it is always a possibility, good luck
If it was a Mac, you'd just drag them to the trash. Ever just right-clicked one? In IE you have a delete option if you right-click anything in the history bar.
Undermind, I tried what you said but to no avail, I found nothing in the registry and exactly the same when I searched my hard drive.
Collideous, I'm not running a Mac, I am running Windows XP Home. If i right click on one of them all it does is perform a google search on the item. I tried doing that, but it still stays there in the search bar. Does anyone know how to get rid of it???????? It's driving me insane!
my only other solution is a painful one, only do this if it is that much of an annoyance to you. I would uninstall it and then reinstall it so it is fresh then browse and every time look at what changes are made to the target directory (where the program files are) this can be a very tedious process, but it is likely to tell you what you want, it sounds like your looking for one of those "all-in-one" file types, so keep an eye out for file size increases, but like I said only do this if it is a big deal to you, I would probably do it if it bugged me enough, I'm pretty anal about some things and I've done stuff like this in the past, just to figure out what the hell the program was doing
Method77, I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, You have noooooooo idea how much that was pissing me off!!!!!!!!!!!! You are like my new hero!
You should have done a google search to remove the google history :P
