    Wireless Network Repeater?

Ok here's whats up: I set up my neighbor's earthlink adsl line. Then he asked me to set up his mac laptop to be wireless, he bought an airport extreme basestation, and his notebook already has an airport card. ok everything works great, but the problem is, he likes to use his computer in the kitchen, unfortunatly, the router's signal appears to die right in front of the kitchen. Is there anyway to strengthen the signal? or to set up a repeater?
    any comments are appreciated

ps he has an antenna for his router

Extend the cables and move the access point closer to the kitchen. Don't try extending the antenna lead unless you use expensive air-core "heliax" cable or you will loose more signal than you gain.

Omnidirectional wifi antennas are generally optimised for maximum signal in the horizontal plane, If the kitchen is lower down angling the antenna might help a bit.

Or you could use a helical or pringles can antenna pointed at the kitchen.
