    ? Tiny Util to Trim 10k for file resume?

    At one time I had a small util that would shave a small amount off the end of a file, to help with resumes.

    Does anyone recall the name of that? It's not very big, and I think there are different versions of it.

    thx

    This is the only program I could think of that performs such functions. Sorry if it's not what you were thinking of.

    Scythe is a thing that will do what you want from a prompt or a batch in windows. The WinMX documentation seems to indicate that it has this function built-in.

    THX !

    Yah the one I refer to is for movies, I found it from someone on Winmx. It just shaves a tiny bit off to help with mismatches.

    Its a very small generically named util.

    Thx aqlo

    I no longer use Winmx, and I do not want to install it to do this simple thing.

    I have a file on DC++ thats a l m o s t completed, but refused to finish that last tiny bit, the starts just . . . . stop.

    So I was going to try to shave a few K off of it.

    There can be a number of reasons for not resuming, but I searched 6 hard drives and no sign of that util, so now it bugs me.

    Is Scythe helping? When I try to find out more about this WinMX thing I find myself in many character sets, no downloads so far.

    VirtualDub also has this function built in, maybe that will help.

    Is the joke just on me? These are powerful spamwords, you know, there is a whole array of keyword-driven stuff that responds to them. Here, have another tool.

    *grins* any luck yet? I set a bot to searching for "10k Trim" and it told me 100.0% of sites found have that phrase in them.
