what were old videogames programmed in? nes, and supernes.

i was curious as if anyone knows what programming language were the old nes games like megaman x (x is any number), and supernintendo games like zelda a link to the past were programmed in? they had to have been programmed in something, well thats my opinion anyway.
A great man once said, it's better to go forward, cause if you go backwards you may trip, or cause someone to fall.

No I will not fix your computer.

you know you should really give linux a try. you know the funny thing about the l2cache on the old pentium 2 really didnt give me the power to do the multimedia stuff that a guy like me wants to do.

They are now programmed in ShockWave and Java, here have some.

I believe much of it was proprietary machine language, with functions hardwired in many cases.
