Should I delete what I found in Spybot

I've come across a type of file that I've never deleted in Spybot. I think the screenshot will explain it all. Can anyone identify what this is? Secondly, is it safe to remove? Thanks.

This is a registry key, unless you know what you're doing, do NOT delete this key

This is not spyware, or adware, its just a bad link to a program, or a bad registry entry, unless you're having problems I'd recommend you leave it, you can render your computer or other programs useless if you delete it

(on the other hand, I delete almost all of them, they're easy enough to restore)

Do you have an old version of an encyclopedia on your computer?

Otherwise, dont screw with the registry configurements.

It's an application path to Encarta2002. No biggy. The error message is WRONG APP PATH. That means it is no longer there, or has been moved. This registry problem often happens when an application is not un installed correctly.

Norton and Ontrack System Suites check this also, and will delete the invalid key. So do Reg Cleaners. Yes I know, I always say be prudent, be judicious, but if the app is no longer installed, there's no point making a mountain out of a molehill, delete it. Spybot has backups anyways.

I do have Encarta2002 installed my system and haven't configured it as of late. It's working fine,too.

Then leave it alone, unless you can tell whether or not it's the "correct" one, or the "bogus" one.

That's the thing about all these various Fix It type Utils, they are not 100%, and I hate to see it when they pull the rug from under some one.

As Phalkon stated , its not spyware, just leave it.

As Phalkon and Krell have said, unless your sure of what that registry is don't delete it. If it belongs to a program you don't have no more then delete it. Otherwise, find out where this registry come from and then see if you are still running such program. If so, leave it alone. Or you can just delete it making sure you make a backup of your registry beforehand. This way if your program starts malfunctioning or it just does not run, you can always go back and merge your saved registry to your pc.
