    what kind of cd's?

what kind of cd's do you wanna burn?

    music, iso's, data, mixed media?

for iso's and cue / bin files, Fireburner, Nero, Blindwrite

    Music cd's , Acoustica, NeroMix

    Data (mp3's), Nero

Record Now Max is also good, I got a freeware app based on the same software as Record Now, it's called Sony CD Extreme and it's very cool. You can burn long file names which I had problems with on other burning apps.

Okay, here is my two cents on the issue. I have three programs that I use: Ahead's Nero Burning ROM 5.5.10.7 (newest version available), Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5.3 Platinum, and HP RecordNow 3.5. My writer is a HP, so the RecordNow came with it, I got ECDC from a friend, and I downloaded Nero. It does depend on what you want to burn and what you use the program for. For ISOs and software related stuff, I use Nero. For data CDs, I use ECDC, and for music I usually use Nero. I used to use my HP program a lot, but since I got Nero, I use that for most of my stuff. I also use ECDC to rip MP3 files from CDs. Hope this helps.

Yeah there have been alot of these threads.. In fact, I think I even made one of these months and months ago.

Anyways I go with the latest version of Nero, nothing (in my opinion) beats it.
