    Specifying Username in Kazaa v.2.1

I have just installed Kazaa v.2.1 on my windows XP workstation. When i open the application the Kazaa Media Desktop Options box is displayed. In the My Kazaa tab i specify a username. A message is displayed:
'The username you entered is either too long, or contains invalid characters. Please specify another username and try again.'
I have tried using different email addresses, uninstalling and reinstalling the application without success. I am logged on as the administrator. Any suggestions???

    Did you try trebora69?

    or I_LOVE_PUDDING ?

If you got it installed on your WORKSTATION so you can rip off your employer, then it's not an administrative privilidge problem.

    try

    Krell_thinks_this_is_shit

thats what I use, it works

Yes, look at what nasrules said, just enter a name, don't use the @kazaa, or @aol.com, or anything like that, just enter any name

BTW, maybe this fits with krell and G, http://www.silverraven.com/fy.htm , use it how you guys want....its not my fault if somebody dies

don't put @ on your username. only use letters or numbers, nothing else.

i'd also recommend getting off kazaa cause it installs bad things like spyware and adware onto your comp. get the spyware/adware free version of kazaa called k++ here. its faster and better than kazaa.

in a later text box, it asks for an email address...

    just put [email protected]

    should be fine.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Specifying Username in Kazaa v.2.1

When I open the program up comes the Kazaa Lite Options Box with the following tabs

    My Kazaa Lite
    Traffic
    Advanced
    Filter
    Skins
    Firewall
    Messages

In the My Kazaa Lite tab I put in user name as asked
but when I click apply a text box pops up
    that says

Please specify a valid email address

Only thing I can do is cancel
then the program opens but wont connect

I don't see anywhere to put in a email address

    BTW: Thanks for Help

try putting a single letter. Maybe you wrote strange symbols that are not allowed. The name is useless anyway!
