    MP3 player

I've used windows media player, winamp, realone, and music match. Are there any more out there? Which one is the best to used. Not really into alot of advanced uses, and am only concerned with the audio aspect... Thanks...

There's a big list with ratings. In the past, I've used Domino Player and I liked it aside from Winamp.

    mp3

i was hopping this thread was going to be on mp3 players, i sick of them im on my third it currenly broke also, im finally going to make a change to a md(minidisc) they seem to be more stable, and a minidisc is about $2 for 74 minutes, and a flash card is over 50. When i get my md(sony mzn-707s) ill discuss it with the community, a find out for my self if there is any advantages(now burns a 32x no more real time with netmd, also can record from different mediums other than computer, cd quality music).
mp3 players tend to be cheap and break easily, first i had the rio one battery port broke when droped on floor lousy belt clip, my rca rd1060 gave it to my sister battery port also broke when dropped lol sound like a repeat, rca rd1080 is lagy up and down volume button jammed, my sisters volume at her stayed a 50 all the time(put it to zero goes all the way back to 50 it was actually funny though). the only good mp3player i know of is the ipod but i dont feel like spending $300-700 on and mp3. conclusion mp3 players are cheap it time for me to try something different(not reffer to mp3 playing software, was applying to hardware).

As for sofware windows media is good for video, winamp for music, for my mp3's i use kazaa.
    Favorite P2P Programs
    KazaaLite...(K++)
    PTC client(Bittorrent)
    Emule(plus mod)
    Packetseek(IRC)

    YES! definitely Foobar2000.

I've been a Winamp user since 1.5 and now that I've used Foobar and seen the slow development on Winamp3, not to mention its overbloat, I've converted to Foobar2000.

Still in its infancy, this player is created by the man who used to write the output plugins for Winamp 2 and 3 and left the project due to some disagreement at Nullsoft about plugin development. Foobar2000 is fully functional, and is being updated pretty much every week and its sound quality already beats Winamp hands down.

If you look at Foobars preferences, you'll see that this player is about 2 things, quality and speed. The exe file is little more than 100kb in size and it plays mp3, ogg, mpc, mp4, mod, spc, speex, pretty much every quality format. Check it out!!!

For videos, I use Windows Media Player. For MP3's I use Winamp and Domino. For a no frills MP3 player, I use 1by1 MP3 Player. It uses little RAM and requires no playlists. Just choose a directory and play away.

You guys have got me interested in FooBar so I'll check that out when I have time.

    xmplay

    Check out xmplay http://un4seen.com
it's small like foobar, it's skinable, you can use winamp plugins and it sounds great.

another very small and handy mp3 player is 1by1 http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/

it's super small and plays directories. It's very handy to use when multi-taking like mad as I always do.
