Hi, I was wondering if anyone know any good microphone software, have got mic that I aint really using so thought I should get some software, see what it can do, who knows what I could use it for!
I'm using Windows XP.

Yay, got it working, I knew about the windows sound recorder, but you did inspire me to look at the audio properties, my problem was that I did not have mic input selected as the input to be used from my soundcard.
Still think I will want a little more powerful program, i'll do a search and see what I can come up with.

If you have winamp, this plugin will record from line-in or microphone, feed it into winamp and output it using any output plugins you have for Winamp. Its possible to directly make mp3's, Ogg, WMA, Wave, and VQF recordings.
Very easy to use, but has quite a few options, so check here for all the possible ways you can use it.
