Question ripping an entire CD to a single MP3 file

What's the best freeware/shareware out there that will rip an entire CD to a single MP3 file?
I've downloaded files like this but have not found any software to make this kind of file myself.

An entire album on one MP3 file is almost as bad as a cassette tape in the fact that it is more or less sequential and is not "random"

    Fast forward? Rewind anyone?

Although in this case you can jump ahead easily but its still not "random" like seperate tracks on a CD or like having individual MP3 files and just making a playlist. Or even putting the rips into a ZIP file.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.

yes albumwrap rules. means u don't have to search for all the tracks in an album. also quality tends to be 192k and above and unaltered cd rips. many albums are available if u just search for albumwrap artist or search for ALBW

just seperate the tracks in a sound editor.

or you could jus go to http://www.infamus.com/albumwrap an get the albumwrap extractor which does it for you while retaining the filenames and id tags

CD-DA X-Tractor has the capability to rip a segment from any arbitrary start and end point on a CD, including the entire disc if you so desire. I've never used it that way, but I have used it, for instance, to rip "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End", from The Beatles' "Abbey Road", to a single mp3 file. You can also set the start or end point to a location in the middle of a track, so if two songs are tracked on the CD as one (as is sometimes done by making a "bonus track" an extension of the last regular track, e.g. "Our House" on Alanis Morrisette's "Jagged Little Pill"), you can extract them into separate mp3 files.

There are probably other CD rippers that have this capability; this is just the one I happen to use.
