i'm indifferent to polls- i ignore them

i really hate people who make excesses of useless ones though, especially when the people that post them make no decent posts elsewhere (you are safe genius, your posts are good)

Polls can have value, but most that have been on ZP have been lame.

    I agree....

with Grab_Grab... I love my polls. The polls created by others can be a little boring (not all though).

I enjoy the off-topic variety of polls, not the type that are actually about p2p and have been asked before.
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice… The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."

see yoda that's the problem--you ask a question like that, and you are bound to get an honest reponse, which you will interpret as a flame or attack

to be honest, your polls sucked, but to be fair, 99% of them suck (regardless of who wrote them)

polls are redundant--a good thread answers itself in the responses

a really well-framed thread will even stay on topic on its own, because people will WANT to respond to the question

    Most polls here are
a)evidence of the users biases (kazaa is the best, shareaza is the best, etc) and are useless in proving anything

b)yes or no questions or 1 word answers (why even attach them to a thread? if elaboration is what you want, then the poll is just in the way, because that's why the thread's there)

c)polls are typically utilized by people who have no real opinions of their own, or even worse, people with no understanding of the world (making their opinions unfounded, unprovable, and at worst, idiotic)

yes. it keeps all the useless posters away from things that they dont understand, they jus vote instead.

however if its about 'wots ur favourite brand of coffee' or something i think theyre a big fat sweaty pile of tripe.

Yeah I'm totally with notbob on this one, polls are usually an indication that the person who made the poll is completely lacking in the brain department (although there are a few polls worth posting in).

Actually the thing across the street is spelled POLE, they are talking about a question that has several answers which you can choose from.
