    Question NTSC vs. PAL

How do I find out whether a VCD MPEG file is NTSC or PAL? I downloaded a video, and it didn't come with an NFO file, so I have no clue. For some reason, I'm thinking it's NTSC, but I'm really not in the mood for making coasters tonight. Does anyone know of a program that will tell me, or is the answer right under my nose?

NTSC is 30FPS, where PAL is 25 FPS.

Following that logic, if you open an MPG in VirtualDub, and then look at the file properties, it will 29.970 FPS, which indicates being encoded with NTSC standards.

In countries where the line voltage is running at 60Hz, you will have NTSC. Where there is a 50Hz phase, you have PAL, also at 1/2 that freq.

Dont hold me to this, all of my Mpgs are at 29.970 fps
