Ok...I have several downloaded files. Some avi...some divx. One was an avi and was a small file (20-30 minute show), and my Nero sucessfully burned it to a CD-R. We can now watch it on our DVD Player. The second download that I tried to burn was a lot larger than a 80 min CD-R can hold.
I know this must not be the proper forum to ask this question, but everyone has been so helpful, so I decided to chance a post. Where is the best place to go to find out how I can burn my larger downloads on two discs? I have downloaded some stuff that comes on 2 downloads, so it must be possible! I searched a bit on the internet, but was met with much confusion. Any direction would be GREATLY appreciated. I am afraid of storing too much on my hard-drive, and the answer would seem, logically, to burn what I have and delete the files from my hard-drive.
How much is "too much" to hold on your hard-drive? I have 13.2 GB space left now.
Once again...sorry if I posted on the wrong board...If you will be so kind as to point me in the right direction, I will go :)

If you want to be a part of the thing called "filesharing" then you should not delete anything except if it's totally useless. Remember that someone might be searching for something that you only have.Originally posted by ladypainter

FILESHARING ... get it?
IMO, there's nothing wrong with burning files to cd then deleting them in order to save space & allow you to continue downloading. Ideally, you could buy another hard drive & keep everything there ready to play & share. In any case 13GB is plenty of room for now. I'd start to worry when you got down to 2 or 3GB.

I have no idea what I just wrote.
Yah it's cool, go for it. I bought a Seagate 80Gb recently, and I am buying another before the end of the month.
Well, if you started worrying when you hit 2GB, that'd give you enough lead-time to order a new drive & have very little downtime. I just got a 120GB Western Digital that's going in this weekend (hurray!).

In EVERY situation i've seen it is backward compatible. I would give it a 99% chance that this is always true.
Dont be such a Nazi. I've deleted about 100 divx movies after copying them to CD. Keep your stupid little rules to yourselfOriginally posted by method77

Also, remeber to "clean" the temp and other unecessary files on your drive, such as the IE history folder
I reccomend Windowwasher to clean those files.
Here is the edonkey link for it:
