Since its inception almost 30 years ago, the internet has been transformed from a primitive device for sharing thoughts and ideas, into a massive network where people pay to connect and read advertisements they don't want, while calling each other "asshats".

Most downloads have been going pretty slow, but so far the program seems pretty good.

I just ram adaware 6 basic and let it remove everything it found, including new.net
After that the computer could not access the internet. It has taken me a couple of hours to fix it.

    Some adware replaces a windows
dll so net acces breaks when adaware removes it, see here

I am very dissapointed with lavasoft, adaware at the very least should have given a warning that removing new.net might break internet access.

I wrote a post in the lavasoft support forum giving details of how to fix NT4
and another one having a rant at them.

The problem of people running adaware6 and loosing internet access seems to be quite common. Watch out
