I just downloaded a movie in SVCD format, then tried to burn it in Nero, using it's SVCD option. First, I did a simulation... and it went smoothly. It reported that it burned a 641 MB file in about 10 minutes. I assume that it's working properly, so I try to burn it and it does the same thing. I put the CD-R into the DVD drive on my computer and try to play it in WinDVD. Nothing happens. So, I open my DVD drive in Windows Explorer, and it says there's about 1 meg of data on my CD-R, even after Nero spent 10 minutes burning a 641 MB file. What am I doing wrong?
Try burning at a slower speed.
Around 2x or 1x and it should play fine.
If not the SVCD may be a bit screwed up, so run it through Tmpeg and see if errors come up.
You may wanna try http://www.vcdeasy.org/
and burn at 1x 2x with CDRAO

Thanks, I'll definetly be trying this VCDEasy application. For all the features it has, the fact that it's freeware is amazing.
