    Corrupt Video!

    Ok, I downloaded a corrupt video from Kazaa (not a surprize, i know), The video has a DivX codec, It's an Avi. and i was using wmp9 at the time!

    But what i wanna know is, How can i save it? or should i just give it the ol' 1,2 to the recycling bin? LOL

    Will do a quick fix on the file....the index on the file you downloaded was screwed up in some way, this program reads the AVI stream and makes a new 'end tag' of sorts allowing you to view it.

    You can also do this with VirtualDub www.virtualdub.org but you'll have a few more steps to go through...

    1) Open video
    2) Set audio and video to direct stream copy
    3) Save another copy of the file
    4) Delete the old bad copy once you know the new copy is in working order.

    Remember dude....NEVER junk an AVI file if it's bigger then a meg and isn't just a black screen. So view the file in Vdub before you go off the deep end and 'whack' it.
