Ok Im usually a K-Lite++ with DK user or failing that Soulseek and WinMX but I have been impressed with Piolet.
It has already helped me out on several occassions with finding rare files. I downloaded Zwan's debut album from it today which I could not find on K++. Searches are very quick also, quicker than anything i have seen.
Download speed are not great but that is because there is not a big user base yet, come on people flood this program.
Some question though, how popular can this become, its not that comercial? How many of you are using sharelive.com as I am, its great seconds after requesting Zwan it was there, probably luck but still good. People please join sharelive.com. Is there any add-ons, that the two problems with p2p other than K++, not public enough to get users and no good add-ons.Do you see in the future it allowing you to search for more than audio files, as this is a bit dated and would mean sharelive could expand?.
Interested to know your views...any info, tips etc on piolet would be great.

We need people to install Piolet so they will get bored enough and click the chat button (which leads to, oh you know it, my favorite IRC network!). As for actually using it for music, I can agree with the 'Piolet of crap' statement. Wasn't the whole thing coded in Visual Basic? Not that I could do better, or even come close.. but wouldn't C or C++ have been a better choice for stability?

peeoolay or whatever sucks big time. For rare files use Soulseek! Simple as that!
Does anyone know how to connect Piolet through Zone Alarm? The help page suggests shutting down any firewall software. NOT very helpful!
I to believe that Piolet is a good program and that it is, or will be, better than KaZaA, providing that it keeps developing. The main reason why people think that KaZaA is such a good program is because of its huge user base. With time, Piolets user base will grow, and hopefully, making it one of the most powerful P2P apps arround.

i dont see whats with all the negative towards piolet. for me its been very stable, i get good speeds, and i can get almost anything i want. what more could you ask for in an mp3-only app?
