well i am a die hard s.o.a.d. fan, so i say that daron malakian is the best out there right now, who do you think is the best?
flamers, we dont need no stinkin flamers!
i'd have to say kirk hammet from metallica
SOAD is a tight ass band, top guitarist for me would have to be T. Morello from RATM, seeing him do his crazy shit live was a trip, i still think he's good, but i don't like chris cornell and the whole Audioslave thing, yeah he can sing, but Zack just had more rage, whatever, we all have to move on some day i suppose, BTW has any one heard that zelda theme song that SOAD supposedly did, is that them for real, it sounds like them, or is it mr. bungle?
Current? Or in history as well.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.
Stevie Ray Vaughn (... & Double Trouble), Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquility, And Oceans, ect.), Johan Norman (Dissection), and Anders Nyström (Katatonia, Diabolical Masquerade) have been some of my favorites to listen to. Thre are many who are considered to be better, or more technical... but I'd rather listen to the actual music from these guys than most anyone else.
i have to say john mclaughlin. he played with miles davis, then shakti, mahavishnu orchestra & has lots of solo stuff. amazing technically & creatively.
honorable mention to frank zappa & thurston moore.
undermind, that's SOAD & a cool little song.
for the benefit of all sentient beings
Jimmy Page
