AP reports:

Thick snowflakes fell in Rome on Friday, a rare occurrence for a capital usually blessed by a temperate climate, and other parts of the country experienced frigid temperatures unseen in years.
The snowfall prompted authorities to stop visitors from entering the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill, the former home of Rome's ancient emperors.

The last substantial snowfalls in Rome were in 1985 and 1986, though there have been other cases of lighter snow since then, including in 2010.

I am clueless on why in the hell they would stop people from entering the Colosseum because of snow?

I have one hell of an imagination, but this one has me stumped. The story never says why such action was taken.

Is it because women in high heals may fall?

although those already inside the ruins before thick flakes began coming down in late morning were allowed to finish their visits. The director of the ancient arena, Rossella Rea, said there was concern visitors could fall on ice.

Ya thats lame dude. I don't see the big deal with some snow nothing some shoveling and some salt wont solve. Maybe they should come to the northeast and see how we live with the snow.I can't remember the last time snow paralyzed us over here. Hell, this year we didnt even get a winter!

Here in SW Florida we usualy have an average temp of 72 -74 degrees this time of year.
For the last two weeks the average high has been 82.
There has been only three days with lows of 40 degrees or less so far this winter.

In the north east and midwest there are reports of trees budding and there are reports of cherry blossoms blooming north of the Mason Dixon Line.

Just remember this, THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING TAKING PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe it is a natural thing. google 1932 the year with no winter. If global warming was real, we should be doing a damn good job. Everything is Energy star,cars produce less emissions,people are breathing less due to obesity... I think they just want to put a carbon tax and charge us for breathing.

I never made any statemnt saying anything about what was causing global warming.
Please re-read my post and link such post where I makie the claim that humans are causing global warming.

Global warming is a matter of fact!!!!!!!! Regardless of the cause, (natural or man made) it is taking place.
That means whether the planet is coming out of a "Little Iceage" new warming climate or whatever.

All data since records have been kept and research shows the Earth is warming.

Spewing states that humans are not the cause does not detract from the fact that the world is heating up.
