    At&t tickling my bung hole

So i have at&t for years.
Randomly around 12am-2am problems start (aside from other daily drops and what not)
I pay $20 for this so im not going to change.

Tonight was special see, All my router lights were green except my "internet" light,
I called tech support as usual
After the guy ran tests on my lines he was able to see perfection and no problems with my lines.
The gentleman gave the phone to his supervisor (which sounded JUST like him)
The supervisor said "sir plz restart your computer"
I noticed my internet light was green now....

I asked him what he did and he said he had reset my router to factory settings because for some reason
    the server couldnt authenticate me...
when I went into my 192....... I noticed that all my setting where the same including the MAC address I use to block ads on my xbox.
Now my internet is up and running,What solved this a phone call? My sexy voice?

So what he said was a lie. I have , in the past, had problems until I called and the problems disappear

My conclusion, They where trying to get in and couldn't due to my excess security. Or they had got in and were snooping around causing overload on my router .
    Any take on this?

No idea. On occasion, I get a sudden disconnection from the internet and it's out for hours on end. I remembered the suggestion that the tech support gave me years ago and unplugged everything, waited a half an hour and plugged everything back in. I think there was two instances that this didn't work, but every other time, this solved the problem. I get this about every 4 - 6 months for whatever reason.

I ran a home server for a few weeks. there's ALWAYS someone trying to get in. It's really strange when pedro attempts to log in from oklahoma on your home server

right on dude, you should see my peerblock I have the "att" list and its constantly blocking connections from att on various ports. Funny thing is it doesn't effect my connection. So basically those blocked connections are useless if allowed. Its a shame peergaurdian died peerblock works wonders on windows 7. I don't think I will be updating to windows 8 when it comes out. I am using AVG security for firewall and antivirus. I believe avg is best for antivirus but not for firewall

Now I'm AVG free. Avast has been far superior for me
