Hi. I hope this is the right place to ask this as I can't find a cd recording forum here. I'm trying to use Infrarecorder and I like it but I have a small issue with it. Whenever I try to burn a data disc on the fly it always spends about 15minutes compiling the data before burning. This doesn't seem very "on the fly" and the checkbox is selected so I can't see why it would be doing this. When I've used other utilities like Ashampoo burner or Nero, they always seem to compile the data instantly but this is not the case with Infrarecorder. Am I doing something wrong? The data is on a network storage device (Netgear Readynas Duo) I don't know if that makes any difference. Thanks.
P.s. The discs I create (data discs with video on) don't work in my PS3 or pc. Windows just says "please insert a dvd" and ejects the drive.
I've been using Infrarecorder for years and it takes little to no time to compile the data. Does it do it if you are burning something not on the network drive? I am just asking because I am wondering if it is streaming the data from the drive and storing it locally before it burns to ensure you do not get a bottle neck while burning.
As for the data disc with video not reading, that is just peculiar. The type of file should not make a difference. Your pc should be able to read any disc so long as it was completed successfully with no errors. As for what the PS3 can read I am clueless. My old car deck had to be ISO with mode 1.
