    Bearshare not responding :(

    Hello people (this is like my first attempt at these forum things, so please 'Bear' with me ;) )
    I'm having trouble with my bearshare. I downloaded it about two years ago with no troubles, Absolutely Love that site & th music I had on it. About 6 mnths ago I tried uploading a so fresh CD (I don't know if that is related to th problem or not) but it never uploaded & I've never been able to get my bearshare working eva since :( .... Every time I open th program, it says "Bearshare not responding" .... If I'm lucky I have just enough time to drag '1' song to a usb to play it. Please can some1 help me, I miss my bearshare Sooo Much!! ... I have been looking for answers on th internet but th answers I've found have been kinda unhelpful .... So I thought maybe if I interact on a forum, I might get better feed back. :) Thankyou & I really hope someone can help me.:icon_scratch:

    Have you been in a coma? I didn't know anyone still used bearshare in this decade.

    Try Soulseek. It's from around the same time, but still works, amazingly.

    Have you tried going to their website and downloading a new copy and then doing a fresh install?

    check that out. as an aside, what exactly happens when you try to download? if both bearshare and imesh don't work, it could be a firewall issue more than anything else...

    Thankyou 'x31n3r' .... I did end up downloading Soulseek Ok, it downloads music great but it's not th same set-up & seems ONLY for getting th music & has no playlists type thing to play from, it all goes into another file. So yeah, I still want my bearshare back, lol. I'll check that link out you gave me & see if I can sort it ;) Thankyou.

    If you like music , the old bearshare is very good ;

    the search results are all genuine with no virus results .

    Pirate limewire , frostwire , winmx 4.9.0 and the original winmx are all giving very large numbers of virus search results .
