Internet Explorer Users are Morons, Confirms Study

"Internet Explorer users have a lower than average IQ, according to research by Consulting firm AptiQuant."

"The results suggested that Internet Explorer surfers had an average IQ in the low eighties. Chrome, Firefox and Safari rated over 100, while minority browsers Opera and Camino had an "exceptionally higher" score of over 120."

    Now that is funny.

I wonder what the score is for Mac vs Windows users.

    Indeed: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14370878

Edit: Don't let this deter you from posting stuff in the future though. Every mainstream media outlet around here bought it hook line sinker as well.

Whats the big deal about IE? IE made it so easy to DL and install Firfox. Why... if it hadnt been for IE I would have gone to greater lengths to get a better browser.

actually, there's nothing really wrong with the current generation IE browsers. i've tried IE 9 and found it quite nice. iron is the best browser around today if you look at it objectively IMO, but i still stick with FF most of the time. you know, old habits and all...

SRware IRON has no auto-update correct? hell no built-in updating mechanism at all? Either way, same habits here. I use IRON about 40% of the time firefox for the rest. I really like the direction firefox has taken as of late. there's not really a "bad browser" these days. save for maybe chrome

    LMAO

Resent studies show people with most lives live longest

as long as you disable third party extensions in IE then its a little better. I prefer FF but it is a memory hog. I remember there was a program that minimized the memory FF used a while back forgot whats its called and had no luck finding it on Google

wow, it seems like yesterday i started this thread...

yeah, the only drawback to FF is memory usage. like kokanezub, i too remember using something that kept it's memory in check, but i forget what it was, think it was for FF ver 3 or something? i don't think it's that much of an issue now though, with most 'puters carrying 4+GB ram these days.

I've reformed from squeezing every inch of performance out of my comp to a heightened state I like to call "not giving a shit."

I have a Zune subscription. I use IE. My comp is an HP.

I just... don't give a shit any more.

I've spent less time tweaking my computer, and more time just... using it.

I don't know... just ran out of shits to give...
