NAV alerts about attempts to access computer

I'm on XP Home, with Norton Anti-Virus. I also have the Internet Security running, and just within maybe the last few hours, I've had alerts of 3 different attempts to access my computer. If I leave my computer running all day, I'll maybe get one in that time period, but 3 in 3 hours?

Is this apparently just a popular time to access my computer, or is something not right here? And can anyone offer any suggestions for my virus software settings? I have it configured pretty well I think (no viruses yet) but I'd like to make sure. Thanks =o)

When i run ZA (Zone Alarm) you wouldnt believe how many attempt it blocks out, I mean dozens a day.

(And no, i do not have any trojans) Most likely just hackers trying to access random IP numbers. I think i was only tageted repeatedly by the same person(s) once. I sent them i nice little messege right to there desktop and it stopped :black

I believe out of the last 12 attacks, it was from only 3 different people, but there was one in particular with the most. Obviously I could care less for the most part since they're always blocked, but it does get annoying after a while to see all the alerts.

You guys are gonna drive yourself nuts with this, take my word for it.

    Let it go.

Configure your firewall, block outgoing apps, learn to love popcorn. The rest is not going to help you. Even if you know that you were port scanned, so big whoopin do. So what.

As long as you use P2P apps, youre gonna see a LOT of nonsense traffic. I don't even use alerts or look at logs.
