    Album Sales

Hmmm ive come up with an idea. Whether or not it would really work in real life well i dunno. So what do you think of this.

The RIAA could stop this whole war on P2P because they know they cant stop it. I reckon people should still be able to download as much music and share it around as much as they want. But....in the albums released in stores, there is a ticket to that bands next concert, well not all of them, its kind of like a prize. If you buy the albums u have a chance to go to the concert free.

a lot of artists make most of their money from live gigs. they'd just get poorer even quicker than if they lowered the price of cds. oh and will triple-platinum aritists have enough days in the year to do that many concerts?

man it sounds like you just want freebies

are you one of those guy who buy a game because it come with a free shirt ?

sorry man just having a dig at ya

the thing is with my experience most concert tickets cost at least 3 time's the price of a CD... why? because with concerts you have overheads, insurance, promotion, security ect. which come into the millions of dollars. with your proposal there would have to be more concerts, more money spent, & this would bankrupt the record companies faster than P2P..

ppl are still buying CD's. i think they will be for a while to come
maybe if the record companies focused on making them better value for money, there sales might increase.
i know in australia DVD sales have gone through the roof, because ppl like the extra features.
    don't ask me why?

    Not a good idea....

Why don't they just lower cd prices instead of rise them?
I think bying albums already has an advantage over downloading: you get a decent cd, with a little book with the lyrics in it, a nice front etc.... They should just lower prices, and a lot of folks would buy cd's again...

not a ticket in every single cd.....1 in every 1000 or something. and the price doesnt go up either. its like that willy wonka golden ticket sorta thing, except anyone can just go and buy a ticket.
