I made a few changes that will most likely knock out most spam activity.
There are now 2 primary user groups in the forums.
ZeroPaid Noobs can NOT do the following
- ZeroPaid Noob (not visible in the member list)
- Less than 5 posts
- Registration date > 3 days
- ZeroPaid Regular (visible in the member list)
- Retains all previous permissions
- use signatures
- post visitor messages
- join groups
- create groups
Basically all ZeroPaid Noobs can do is post threads and posts.
Vbulletin will auto promote the member once they meet the required credentials.
If you have any questions or are having problems being promoted please let me know via private message or leave a comment here.
That should do a fine job of knocking out sig spammers. Only a few will be determined enough to actually soak up those posts, and even then, even fewer of them are willing to wait those three days. The last remaining users that go through all of this can easily be spotted by mods via post history.
Nice idea I think.:icon_thumleft:

Rules of The Game
There are three rules to The Game:
1. Everyone in the world is playing The Game. (Sometimes narrowed to: "Everybody in the world who knows about The Game is playing The Game", or alternatively, "You are always playing The Game.") You cannot not play The Game; it does not require consent to play and you can never stop playing.
2. Whenever one thinks about The Game, one loses.
3. Losses must be announced to at least one person[6] (either by using a statement such as "I Lost The Game" or by alternative means).
Some players allow a grace period of 30 seconds to half an hour after someone has lost, during which a player cannot lose The Game again, or is not obliged to announce a loss. This "30 minute rule" is not an official rule, but one made up by players. This is done in order to prevent a perpetual loss of The Game. Under a literal interpretation, one has to announce every loss of The Game. However, announcing The Game amounts to thinking about it, which constitutes a loss and another announcement. Such a chain continues indefinitely. The common rules do not define a point at which The Game ends. However, one reported variation states that The Game ends when the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom announces on television that "The Game is up."
Strategies
Some players have developed strategies for making other people lose, such as saying "The Game" out loud, or writing about The Game on a hidden note, in graffiti in public places, or on banknotes.
The most Beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and science.
