Sometimes a downloaded song has a much weaker base volume than most other downloads. Is it possible to use the CD-RW drive to increase the base volume of a file on my HD so that when burning it to a CD it will replay with a volume similar to the rest of the files?
My computer OS is XP Home and has a “recording control” window that has eight slider panels in it, only one of which can be activated at a time. The panels are named mono mix, stereo mix, aux, video, CD player, line in, microphone and phone line.None of them has any effect on the volume of a file recorded from HD to CD, regardless of where the slider is set. My sound is an integral part of the motherboard which is an ECS K7S5A with an SIS 7012 driver.
Use MP3 Gain...you can change the volume of the song itself.
Its simple to use.
Thanks lion7718. I have downloaded the file and opened it up as far as help. Looks like what I was looking for. I will give it a try.
lion7718. I downloaded your attachment but when I try to run the program I get the message--component COMDLG320CX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:a file is missing or invalid. Any suggestions?
I uninstalled and reinstalled but get the same message.
Thanks

Do the above..that should solve the problem.
Thanks for the help. Everything seems to be working fine now.
Both attachments were needed to get the program running.
