I don't recommend using their registry software tho. It just gives an explanation to the file extention.

What I meant was I use the site for information only. I never trust those free registry editors. Anyways, I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions though. If I can't answer, someone else here certainly will.

AW! it's a RatDVD file. Crap, I'm shocked anyone is using that still.
Go here:
http://ratdvd.ca/
Download the program and use it. It's not a very good format, and it's ridiculous that anyone still uses it. It was designed to compress a DVD down to the size of a Divx movie while still maintaining the whole DVD as you normally buy them (Instead of being a menuless, chapterless single-shot movie). The problem was that the software was actually designed to be a copy protection for DVDs, and the users were unwittingly testing it.
Be prepared for a long decompression time. It was aimed at saving time when bandwidth was much lower for the average person, so the time could be made up offline with their own PC's processing cycles.Ever think about the name of this software "RAT" DVD?
How about if I provide a litte background. This software was created as a pre-release version of software that later became DVD anti-piracy software. The point of releasing RAT DVD was to get internet users to test and report bugs. Free testing. After the testing was complete, they stopped updating RAT DVD and roled it into their comercial product that had ant-copy features that were not in RAT DVD.
They the term RAT was selected as inside joke. RATS are the people who helped test the product. RATS being people who pirate movies.
Thank you, Signa

In the future if you run into file of a strange type or if a video doesn't play right use a little free program called gspot found here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/au...decs/gspot.cfm
or video inspector found here http://download.cnet.com/VideoInspec...html?tag=mncol
These programs will tell you what you need to play a video.
