How do I make a zipped movie to play?

Hello there, I've been searching the forums and did not find an answer to this question. I have downloaded a movie "Die another day", and it came in a zipped file 007.Die.Another.Day.UNSUBBED.TELESYNC-VideoCD-CD1, I used Winrar to open it and then I have like 34 more zipped files each one of 14,649 kb. I just don't have a clue on how to get all these files together and have them play on player. By the way there is also a file that says -all files-100%- crc-ok, anyone that can help me out with this situation here, please.

I forgot to include that my zipped files read: vcd-dad-ts-cd1.part 1, 2, 3, 4...................................just in case this info may be of help. There is also a file with this description: vcd-dad-ts-cd1.sfv
Hope to hear from some good advice on how to make these files play.
    Thanks

Is all this worth it? I mean I would have to go thru all my zipped files one by one and burn them to nero. I am guessing for me to watch this movie going thru the whole process is going to take me a few hours. In other words I don't think is worth my time d/l movies that come zipped. right? Well if this is the case I will just look for a movie that is not zipped. \
ZeroPain, thanks for the tip, though. I just think that this process is just to much to go with.

Let me see if I understand this so far, el_omega isnt sure of how to use winrar, as you properly told him it would unzip them all together.

So instead of doing that right, you want him to install yet more software (Daemon tools) and use a virtual CD to do it?

Even on a crappy computer, winrar will unzip all those files and seam them togther in a couple of minutes.

ok, let's be all friends here. I know how to use winrar but never have encountered files that has more files in it. As in movies, this is my first experience trying to unzip them and then find a bunch of little files unzipped. I guess I don't know how to use winrar after all. I was thinking of highlighting all these little files and unzip them at once, then it would give a big file, and probabley be ready to watch the movie. Well, it seems a little bit complicated as I said this is my first time trying to do it, but much I learned from here is being patient so I will wait to gather more info. and once I am sure on the procedures I will do it.
    Thanks Krell and ZeroPain
P.S. I have not downloades extra software because I don't think is yet necessary.

Oh this wasnt animosity, that's a whole other package.

It's not confusing, I read both his remarks on extracting and not wanting to burn.

I watch movies on my pc every day. I dont have to install yet another piece of software to do it. I have my codecs, I have players.

I am questioning the logistics and functionality of everyone installing more and more software, and not really using what they have at their disposal.

I also question the rationale of teaching people with nominal skills, how to do a plethora of things 1/2 assed, instead of keeping them "out of the weeds" so to speak. I like your explanations, I think anyone can follow them, im just afraid for them too.

People like yourself, and wonderboy may have a ton of software installed, AND know how to use it, as you seem to do. I am further imploring you to help people with baby steps. Thats all.

yea alot of the big svcd and vcd's use the rar-rars-bin=movie format and i was just wondering why they dont compress it only once or something, isnt that much simpler? I dont understand why they do it twice.

    small files

the small files are their as it most likely was originaly a usenet posting. that's how they post large files their.
Just open the first file and all others will also be open automaticly.

then see what you got and go from their.

if you have a bin or iso, you can open it with winiso and or extract it. You don't need the cue file to open it with winiso. But if you got a cue file just burn it, or if you wish not to open it, as I mentioned open with winiso or isobuster.

    Rickio,

If I just wanted to watch this movie on my pc. I just need this winiso app. to open it and then it would let me watch it?

See, I don't want to burn this to a cd, all I need is to know how to open a .bin file, so far if I am not wrong that's all I have to do, donwload winiso and use this app. to open up this .bin file.

    Hope I have it right.

    Still need some more replies.

    Thanks,

a bin file is a CD image which is designed with the sole purpose of being burned directly to disc.

If you want to view your movie without burning then you are going to have to download new software (unless you have something like VCDgear, winISO, ISObuster or daemon tools already installed) actually i would go with zeropains idea of installing daemon tools, its free, a small download, easy to set up and use.
It mounts a virtual drive on your PC which behaves just like a CD-rom drive allowing you to view image files as if they had already been burned.
I dont know much about winISO or ISObuster except they are used to crack open a bin file and view its contents.

And rickio is right about the rar files being chopped into small pieces, they do this when posting on usenet newsgroups as the maximum file size for an individual posting is low.

    newsgroups

slycks guide to newsgroups is an excellent general guide.
If you want to get into newsgroups you will need a newsreader. outlook express will do the job, but something like forte agent has alot more features especially when downloading binaries (the files which contain music, movies etc)
Theres alot to find out about newsgroups and agent, but theres always plenty of info available by running up a google search.
