lmao, i was thinking the exact same thing when i highlighted LEGAL in the title. i'd say we're looking at about 50-60 million pirate users AT LEAST. the kicker is that those illegal users are probably the main reason windows 7 is selling so well...

It was probably Microsoft's strategy to piss people off first with Vista, so they could sell more when they released win7. After all win7 is just Vista without all the problems. If you recall, they did the same thing with Millennium, just before 2000 pro.

I am still running XP3 and doing just fine!!! Had a hell of a time getting it to work on my new system but it is running just fine. In fact I have gotten more stuff now then I did before with my old system before it went belly up.

I'll agree with that. Every other windows OS is a good product. Win ME preceded Win XP. Win ME was a pile dog crap cursed by the devil and toxically irradiated just for good luck. Sort of like the Star Trek Franchise. 1,3,5 sucked balls. 2,4,6 were quite good.

My company just bought me a new computer retail which means for the first time in 12 years I'm actually running a legitimate windows and office install. Three months experience I can honestly say Windows 7 is hugely superior to Vista.

Windows 7 is just Vista with a service pack, Vista was fine so long as you didn't try to run i on your pentium 3.

I don't think so because nowadays linux is a competitor and after all it is open source so who knows the actual sale actual sales, I don’t think so. I bet they were adding all new PC sales too.

I am back running XP SP3 again since I had to buy a used computer. Its not a bad one but I could not afford a brand new one right now because money is SO tight. My hours at work have been cut way back over the last few months and its not looking like its gonna change anytime soon. I think it can only get worse because what I do hinges on people actually constructing new buildings. Anyways...blah blah blah. Back on track. I still enjoy XP and its almost the same performance wise as W7 so I am in no hurry to install. I am wondering how this Dell PC of mine will like it. I am not very concerned but with these generic models like I own I hope drivers will not be an issue. I will change over soon anyway beause I really dig W7 and its a very quick install too. IMO Windows has a very good product with W7 and it will have a very strong, successful user base.

I would say try it out. I always have fun trying out any new Windows OS and this one is worth while. Of course I would blow Bill Gates if he was in the same room with me so my opinion may be slightly biased. Just because I would take wenis in my mouth to keep it warm for Billy doesn't mean that I can not give an honest opinion. Its not a waste of time but I can not say that sticking with XP if you don't really care is not a bad choice. XP has to be one of the best tested, most stable OS systems of all time and that is why its had such longevity on the PC. It will live on for many years to come and I bet MS could kick themselves for almost inventing the PERFECT OS that never needs an update. W7 is just fancy XP. That was actually gonna be the name of W7 for a long time but test groups decided that FancyXP sounded really gay. As I said before, my theory about Vista is that MS put out a product they knew people would be quick to dump in a few years to buy their next great product. I bet the next Windows os will be junk and this marketing process will continue. I am just joking about all this. Its all jokes. Please do not sue me for telling jokes about corporate secrets!
