is my laptop crappy when i think its not???

okay for some reason playing video games makes my computer ummm....slow for some reason ill list about my laptop and then what games i play and ill let you guys decide whether im a retard or what....

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
System Model: HP Pavilion dv9700 Notebook PC
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS

    Shared Memory: 1791 MB

....and lately (as ive just like as in the past couple days began playing pc games) ive been playing Ultima IX, Postal 2, Deus Ex, and Deus Ex Invisible War and all of them seem to run kinda slow like my laptop cant handle it, but ive seen computers waaaay worse than mine that runt he game smoothly i dont know what to do to make them run better, messing with the ingame performace options doesnt seem to help much either nor do I feel (I may be wrong in this assumption)that i should have to mess with the ingame options and turn stuff down, i mean i only bouth this laptop a year ago and it says its a gaming pc.....:bukkake:

I am not a gamer, but a long time ago on some computer show I heard the guy mention that if you create a profile just for gaming, you can fine tune the profile just for that purpose. For example, you can disable many processes that you would normally use, which frees up resources for the gaming process.

As to why yours is running slow, I have no idea. Malware perhaps?

Not necessarily. Some shit can slip by even the best anti-virus program.

You could try a free online scan at housecall.com. Be sure to d/l the 64 bit 7.1 version though.

Is your hard drive almost full? How much of your ram is used while idle? What percentage of the CPU?
