    Question DirectX 9.0

I just saw on the main page of Cnet Downloads that DirectX 9.0 has been released. Has anyone downloaded it yet? If so, please state any conflicts you've had.

Same here, most video card drivers dont support the new features, give it a few weeks, if you have superior hardware, you may see some improvement

I strongly recommend you visit http://microsoft.com/windows/directx...erview/faq.asp

It basicly tells you if you should upgrade or not, for me, I will wait till Nvidia brings its next driver set out, you may have different needs, either way, check the site out

The last I heard about it, was that it was still a beta, and that some people had some problems with it.

Thanks for the nfo. I most likely won't need to upgrade since I have such a crummy graphics card.

Doesnt matter if you do, games are written for any new instruction sets, neither are video card drivers. Same for AGP 8x right now, its a waste.

hmmm...I updated to DirectX9 before I read Phalkon's article and it hasn't made any REAL difference for me.

The graphics card driver I updated for my nVidia Riva TNT2 Pro was much better.

I'll wait until something actually requires it, no point now... but hey, it's good to know an update is available.
