I'm in the same boat. W7 x64 is using 19% of my 6MB of DDR3 at idle.

My only gripe with x64 is the lack of programs. x64 Firefox or Explorer have no supported flash.

Not sure how or why, but my ram usage today from yesterday dropped by 200 MB. I'm now running 7 at only 600MB of ram, even with a virus scanner running in the background. So now my system is running at about the same ram usage as it was under Vista, if not a little lower. Would still like to kick Steve Ballmer in the nuts for not letting me run unsigned drivers. The guy is a tool, and even more of a duche than Bill when it comes to screwing over customers, and the use of unethical business practices

    Steve Ballmer, worlds biggest duche.
