my cd drives have stopped working. when i go to device manager its showing " ! " over my drives and my scsi/raid can anybody help. this happened after trying to install easy cd creator.

Uh oh....Krell is not going to be happy that you installed Easy CD Creator. This isn't my expertise on this particular subject, but wait for Krell as he should be knocking at your door at any moment....

yeah installing easy cd on wondows XP is a bad mistake, i know because i did it myself and had the same problem as you
the following article from the MS knowledge base cured my easy cd blues.http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;314060
it involves a simple adjustment in the registry, but as always, make sure you back up first!

Fuck me good link nearlly lost my hard drive !!!!!!!!
didnt tell me about that bit, when i restarted my computer wouldn't recognise my hard drive thought i was really fucked (i was shitting myself) went into the BIOS which i know nothing about changed the primary setting to auto - seems ok haven't re booted yet though might just leave it on forever lol :tol
