Fox Wins “War on White House”..:haha:

The Obama administration on Thursday tried to make "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the White House pool except Fox News.

But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included. ....

The administration relented, making Feinberg available for all five pool members and Bloomberg TV.

The pushback came after White House senior adviser David Axelrod told ABC News' "This Week" on Sunday that Fox News is not a real news organization and other news networks "ought not to treat them that way.".......:madfawk:

Media analysts cheered the decision to boycott the Feinberg interview unless Fox News was included, saying the administration's gambit was taking its feud with Fox News too far. President Obama has already declined to go on "Fox News Sunday," even while appearing on the other Sunday shows..:headbang:

"I'm really cheered by the other members saying "No, if Fox can't be part of it, we won't be part of it,'" said Baltimore Sun TV critic David Zurawik, calling the move to limit Feinberg's availability "outrageous."

"What it's really about to me is the Executive Branch of the government trying to tell the press how it should behave. I mean, this democracy -- we know this -- only works with a free and unfettered press to provide information," he said.

If Obama can get a proffesor and a cop together for a beer, he should be adult enough to call a truce and sit down with Fox's Roger Ailes over a bottle of Jack Daniels...:beerchug:

P.S. - This, oddly enough, has not been brought up by any of the other networks, so for right now the best source for this story is FNC (yes, savor the irony):But it is on You Tube already.........

Its really pretty simple. Fox News panders to people who either cannot or will not be bothered to think for themselves. They relentlessly pursue their own agenda, twisting and spinning the facts to suit their needs.
Their mission is to push and advance their neo-conservative viewpoint onto as many sheeple as possible.
While I also share the Whitehouse's view that Fox News is not a legitimate news agency, I understand where the other media outlets are coming from. Fox News is a large organization, commanding millions of viewers.
The major news outlets figure if Fox can be excluded, that's just a step away from them possibly being excluded themselves, a legitimate concern.

However, press credentials for Whitehouse event access are given or not, at the discretion of the Whitehouse. They get to decide who is a "real" journalist and who isn't. This doesn't prevent anyone from presenting whatever they want to, with whatever slant they wish to put it, regarding any Whitehouse activity. It merely prevents them from receiving any info directly from a Whitehouse address.
Nobody can start over and make a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

Awwww. I thought those "bleeding-heart-liberals" that run the "lamestream media" would exult in the bashing of Fox. Because, you know, liberals are all for big government and government interference...

After taking a beat down from the news media in its attempt to exclude Fox News from interviews they now deny it?

Treasury Department Now “Denies” it Tried to Exclude Fox News

It’s been reported earlier that when Fox News was banned from a round-robin interview with Obama administration “Pay Czar” Kenneth Feinberg, the bureau chiefs of the other major networks banded together to thwart the White House.

Now, Mediaite has learned exclusively that the Treasury Department, who set up the interviews, denies the story.

A Treasury Department spokesperson tells Mediaite the following:

“The fact that Major Garrett conducted and interview with Ken Feinberg at a time when all the other networks did speaks for itself.”

There was no plot to exclude Fox News, and they had the same interview that their competitors did. Much ado about absolutely nothing.

    Unbelievable..........:liar:
