hey there, you are supposed to call them on the phone and ask for a user name reset.

Depends on how they are configged, but they will eventually close the connection. typically not more than 5 minutes.

Depends, what happens alot is that due to server strains a server gets ;lagged enourmously, at the moment of ur disconnection it can take up to 10 minutes before that server realises that u arent online but it will prevent u from logging on. This is something that can happen easily on the "larger"networks with a bunch load of servers.

I find that I get those messages when I am connecting to one of the servers in a network, and the others in the network give it to me as well. But the organization of your networks may be based on the wsx list you maintain or imported. So you could have a server listed on a different network when in reality it is part of the same network. Another thing I get is "reconnecting too fast". That means usually that there is a redundancy in your list, and that you have a few different names all pointing to in reality the same IP address and server. Though the popularly traded wsx file is about 32K, I bet that if the redundancies were weeded out, it would be two thirds the size.

Best is to weekly deleted all servers and freshly import them with napmx. cause network changes can happen fast.
Also when u log on server A u are "registerd" on serer B aswell otherwise u could log on to each server with a diff nick and well, wouldent want that. So if one server gets hold behind due to lag or whatever reason and the messages of u logging off will take some time to get tru that can result in the other servers giving that message.

Reconnecting to fast can be caused by the time set on the server settings that disallows a user to reconnect within a certain amount. Also one of the newer features is that we can set a maximum of log ons per minute, this to safe bandwith upon filling the server. If the server is to full or filling to fast that can lead to the logging on to fast message aswell.

Or, you could just stop pulling your hair out about it. Check once or twice a day, and grab a dozen at a time, and reconnect. If you are on 25, 30 isnt going to be that much better.

So what, you look at it, and try to reconnect, says you are still logged on. When you try back later, it will have timed out, and you should be fine.

And if it IS redundant, then you really ARE already logged on, and you have no point.

Hate to tell ya Lamourlady, but I think this one is not worth getting too complicated about.

How many of the issues presented here in this forum fit that category?

    I dont know eclectica, 5? 17? 34?

Could you be more specific, do you mean the " I cant connect at all" ones?

or the "why is the sky blue" ones?

    Was that a trick question?

I suggested she wait it out, Vladd44 said wait 5 minutes, -Huize-
said it could be 10 minutes. It fits that catagory when you spend more time wrestling the problem than is warrented, how bout that?

No, it fits the category that it doesn't interest KRELL; therefore it shouldn't interest the rest of us.

ummm... or maybe he is just saying not to make it too complicated, all she needs to do is wait.... one could get into a whole slew of complicated discussions as to why this particular thing happens..... but what they all boil down to is that you have to wait. which is what Krell said.

or is that just too complicated or something?

I agree with eclectica some people on this forum are like the mods in the winmx chatrooms and what i think of em.

    Absolute crap!

I dont go to them rooms anymore cause if u have a different opinion then the mods about what might be a good proggy they will kick/ban hack trash u. Same as here, offer a solution that some dont like BUT it might actually work without going tru a load of crap, ull get flamed.

The times i was kicked for giving advice to someone that the roommod dident like are plenty. Cause they dont use a proggy it shouldent mean that the rest of the world also shouldent.

Same goes here, cause some can offer solutions about something that the "older" members dont like dont mean that the solutions are bad.

(this isent refering only to this thread, but to the general attitude of some users on this forum)
