Cheap Trick New Release on 8-Track

    no, that's not a typo....

Those who swear by vinyl say that records provide a warmer sound compared to compact discs, and that the larger packaging and gatefold artwork offer a superior tactile experience (and certainly to digital downloads). But where's the love for the 8-track, those bulky blasts from the past which sounded fine enough in your El Camino, and which broke down classic albums indiscriminately into four programs. Don't look now, but the cartridges are back, brought by a band from the same era, Cheap Trick.

That's hilarious. I had a 1970 Ford LTD that had a stock 8-track stereo. I remember rockin' to Uriah Heep in those days.

Music was awesome in those days. It does show our age though.

I remember "Proud Words On A Dusty Shelf" which was his first solo LP, if I'm not mistaken. It was rather country sounding from what I can remember.

There were a couiple of songs that were somewhat country flavored, but for the most part, it was a rocker. The other one was called "Eager To Please". A bit softer, but pretty good!!
