    I actually think Conan is the BEST thing to happen to that show since Carson left. Jay is a really cool guy but his comedy is not that great and never was. Conan can do slapstick very well and brings back a lot of things the Late Show has been missing. Jay was too boring for my taste.

    Nobody could surpass Johnny and yes I agree Mel about Jay's delivery. The show still has fairly good writers and it makes the show acceptable. There is a big difference between Johnny's type of comedy and Conan's. Their delivery and the egocentric type found Conan produces a different type of a show.

    Conan has been a comedy writer for many, many years. He has written many episodes of the Simpsons and many Saturday Night Live Skits during the Adam Sandler years. He has way more talent than many hosts who only know how to speak. Conan is not a dumb guy and does not rely on writers to put every word in his mouth like some hosts do. Some hosts just show up and read the que cards.

    noted. I do know that prior to him gaining notoriety with the Late, Late, Show he was very much involved in writing and has a lot of productions to his name. He is a Harvard graduate and that also can say a lot but I think some of us are waiting for something little more. Maybe it's just a case of giving the guy a chance.

    Dunno. Used to watch Johnny, and think Conan is a closer replacement than Leno will have ever been.

    Personal opinion, though.


    Leno was a little too "clean." Carson was a dirty motherfucker.
