    Lindows sounds good

It's a new OS that supposedly will allow the user to run both windows and Linux apps.
I read about it at http://sharereactor.com
you can download a preview if you use edonkey. Go to sharereactor and get the hash number and load it into edonkey.

I've never heard of Lindows but if it is what i think it is then its a diff version of VMWare.

VMWare basically Emulates stuff such as Linux while running windows.

You dont get the stability of Linux though dont let it fool you it basically allows you to run stuff which is Linux only.

Personally I'd reccommend installing Linux then Emulating Windows from Linux cause that will be the most stable.

Lindows is a suped-up version of Xandros and Wine. Should be interesting, but I'm not holding my breath.

Ahh so its a Linux emulator then.

I never did like WiNe found it a tad unstable, maybe it was just my distro tho.

It's not an emulator, It's a standalone OS. They want it to look and feel like windows, but have the stability of unix. To accomplish that, they use Xandros, a linux distro, and some heavily modified wine to run "selected" windows applications and to open windows files.
