Limewire Pro - Automatically Shutting Down
:devil
I need somebody's help... I have the full paid version of Limewire pro (most recent as of today). For some reason sporatically the Limewire program decides to shut itself down... Unfortunately I am not around when it happens, but I will come back to my PC after an hour and it is not there anymore?
I am a bit perplexed as to what is happening... ANY CLUES???

If you reinstalled the app, or a newer version, heres my recomendation, off the cuff.
Uninstall the app, all the way. Reboot.
Use the Program Compatability Wizard to reinstal it. You can find PCW from Start > Programs > Accessories, or, you may right click on the .exe file you want to install.
On other apps, selecting Win 2000 or W98 Compatability mode has told the O/S to treat it with kid gloves, and solved the problem.
This is a 5 minute effort that has no real consequences if it still doesnt work.
Go to Administrative Tools > Event Viewer, and clear the logs before you reinstall, then you have event logs to refer to if it pukes out again.
cheers

Windows XP doesnt install java by default so make sure you have the latest Java Runtimes installed which you can get that i believe from www.sun.com/java
If your still having problems you may as well try limewire support i think they have a special one for pro users.
