Hi --
I cannot get Direct Connect to accept certain folders as shared. Most of what I want to share is on a second computer. The folders there are on a drive known to my main computer as "x" and in a folder known as "Community." I know the network is fine because I access it constantly and have no trouble seeing the folders from my main computer.
My internet connection is via DSL. I don't have my second computer set up to access that.
Whenever I attempt to add folders from the X drive to DC sharing, the folders first appear in the sharing window but I notice that it doesn't go through the same "process" that happens when I designate a folder as shared on the main computer. Checking the settings again and sure 'nuf, the folders that I just added to Share don't appear.
Can someone tell me what I must change?

Never mind, Folks. I fixed the problem. It needed to have the drive mapped.
Thanks.
I don't think Direct Connect supports networks. Some applications don't support stuff like that. I know that WinMX does although it isn't very reliable. And same with Songspy.
I tried that (sharring network files) with DC and it didnt work, i uninstalled and used another program. good luck
